Way back in the summer of '76, I had the pleasure of working with you guys at aquaduct race track. My band, Glass House, backed you guys up. Also on the bill were The Capris, & The Harmonica Rascals. Plus, they had to put down one of the horses that day.
My website is almost complete, & covers 40 acts that I worked with in 37 years of playing electric bass. I would like to include a Happenings page, and use the photo from your website, as well as add a link to your site. Would that be OK ? Comments: "See you in September" is such a great song, fantastically sung, the harmonies are out of this world. The mood of the song is so uplifting, I could hear it all day long. To me, this is the best song of all times.
I was 19,5 years old when I heard the song and it sounds fresh and up-to-date, because of great singing a marvellous arrangment.

Comments: It is very encouraging to see that the Happenings are persevering. Your numerous releases on the B.T. Puppy label are classics. Not just the obvious hits, but such under appreciated sides as "He Thinks He's A Hero" and the sublime and rollicking "Tea Time" are vocal group classics.

For that matter, the acapella intro to your cover of Al Jolson's "My Mammy" rivals the best of anything in the barbershop quartet idiom. Keep up the great work!

And for that matter, a new album would be more than welcome.....

Comments: We were fortunate enough during a very trying time to be able to attend the concert at EPCOT on 4-14-08 and ohh! are we so very glad we did! The Happenings's were so incredible, not only did we enjoy the songs we so much remember them doing, but they also entertained us with so many other wondeful songs from other artists that they performed to perfection [that would probably make some of those artists a little jealous]. But the highlight of the night was when they dedicated a special set of songs to Chuck & Marty, who have been married 61 years, and she at this time is in very critical health. It meant the world to us [tears and all], and showed not only how much they love their music, but also how much they care for people.

We still very much enjoy our albums [vinyl] and listen to them on a regular basis.

Please keep up the GREAT music and good times and we hope to see you at EPCOT next year or sooner.
