created excellent recordings from the beginning. I am glad to
see that legacy is still alive and well with Bob Miranda

My wife and I saw your
show in Berkely Twp. Needless to say the happenings are still
happening. Yous were great as always. Also I would like to say
thanks for the Lee Greenwood song, Proud to be an american. The
song brought a few tears to my eyes. It should have after all I
am a Veteran of
Vietnam 1970-1971.
Hi! I just
"happened" to be at the South Street Seaport yesterday
and was so fortunate to catch your second show. The 60's was a
great time to grow up in, especially music wise. Your group was
always one of my favorites and seeing and hearing you yesterday
brought back so many incredible memories. I am so happy I found
you again and now have a place to keep up with your activities.
Love your new CD and thanks, to all of you, for signing it. Hope
this is the beginning of many more memorable moments with
"The Happenings". Love,
Carol
Saw you last year in
Brookdale Park, Bloomfield and the show was just great! Picked
up your tape.
Saw you again last month in Brookdale. I can say without
reservation, you guys have absolutely been the best show at that
venue. Got your CD.
Saw you again last night in Fairfield. Another outstanding
performance! Thanks.
Look forward to seeing you again.
Say you in Fairfield last night and sang my heart out again. You
sound absolutely fabulous and on the mark! I danced to "See
you in September" at my sweet 16 in 1966 and every time I
hear it, it brings back all the wonderful memories of sweetness
and innocence. Attend your concerts in the park, but seemed to
really enjoy last night the most. I think because it was small
and intimate and I was up close and personal. Also saw you at
Villa Roma a couple of years ago. Keep going strong, you warm my
heart with your sounds.
I had a great time at
the Bridgewater Concert(Duke Island Park). I agree with you guys
about the atmosphere at park. It was much more personal. It's
refreshing to see the Human side of professional
entertainers.Your selection of music was wonderful. It really
kept me bouncing in my seat.Chair Dancing is a great
idea, especially when your partener is too embarassed to dance. My
work and chronicly Ill son, keep me very busy, so I don't usually
get a chance to go out and have fun but you made my 15th Wedding
Anniversary very special, especially signing my original"I
Got Rythym" record. It was a pleasure meeting all of you
and I hope to have the pleasure of seeing you all at another
concert soon. Your music brings back so many fond memories of my
childhood summers. By the way, you all still sound as good and
fresh as the first time I heard you. Your voices haven't lost
their quality. Thanks for a great evening.
Just saw you tonight
in Fairfield. You said to stop by and sign in to your web page.
Here I am. Anyway, just wanted to say that I bought " See
you in September " on a 45 back when it came out in 1966? I
was 10 years old then. Loved it ever since. You all did a good
job tonight. Liked all of your songs plus the Beach Boys and
Four Seasons. Catch you next year where ever.
My wife a I saw your
show last night in Bridgewater, NJ. We really enjoyed the show
and hope to see another in the future. believe it or not we
still have the vinyl addition in our collection.
I went to see the
concert on Sunday, August 19th at Duke Island Park in
Bridgewater. It was a great show. After the show I picked up the
new CD and had it autographed. All the guys were very cordial.
The first time I saw the Happenings was in 1975 at the Glassboro
State College (now Rowan University) prom when the Happenings
opened for Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge. I hope the
Happenings keep singing for a long time to come.
Family saw you at Duke
Island Park last night. You sounded great - brought back many
memories. 8 year old daughter insisted on getting CD. Thanks for
a wonderful evening.
The Happenings,
My wife and I saw your show at Duke Island Park. You were
fantastic! Your talent is very entertaining. We will be seeing
you at the Seaport 9/2.... Can't wait, we'll be bringing some
friends. Keep up the good work....
J.G.
Was at Eisenhower Park on 8/10/01.First time I have seen you
perform.Wow.Fantastic. Please try to make it to Brooklyn's
Seaside Concerts next summer. They will love you there.
Every song was great. My favorites were the 2 Gary Puckett
songs,"Lady Will Power"and "Young Girl".You
guys do them better than Puckett and the Union Gap. Thanks for a
great show.
I have enjoyed your
music since I was 14, when I heard "See You in
September". I finally got a chance to "see you in
august" at the concert in Eisenhower park on 8/10/01. Boy,
was I surprised! I thought you guys were BLACK!!! You still
sound great.
We saw your show on
the Westerdam in October and again in February. We really enjoyed
it, so when we saw you were going to be at Hershey Park, we made
plans to be there. We are really looking forward to seeing you
again.
I have followed The
Happenings for years and got into DooWop and 60's nostalgia very
heavily 2 yrs. ago. I was delighted to find one of my top
favoriteall time groups was indeed still going strong. The
conceerts in the summer of 2000 were fantastic but by far the
best concert we've seen this year has been the guys at Brookdale
Park in Bloomfield. If anything the sound and voices are better,
stronger and more clear than when we were teens.
The new Cd was better than anticipated. I would have bought it
anyway but the Somewhere/Over the Rainbow medley is worth the
price all by itself.
Keep it going especially here in NJ where we follow you to all
the places we can drive to.
Thanks....JANET... a "groupie" after all these years.

Seen you in brick,
brookdale park and brookside park.
You guys are fantastic.
I also want to thank you for taking a picture with me at
Brookside Park.
Thanks!
Saw you guys at
Brookdale Park - it was a great Concert!!!! You sound as good
(maybe better!) than you did when I saw you in 1969 at Jersey
City State College. I still have my "The Happenings Golden
Hits" vinyl record. Thank you for years of great music and
for doing the concerts in the park.
I just loved the show
at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, NJ tonight. You were just
great. All the old 60s songs - Frankie Valli, Rascals, Gary
Puckett and the Union Gap, Beach Boys, Righteous Brothers,
Johnny Ray and of course all your hits. I hope you come again.
Saw you guys in the
Pocono's, always loved you guys, especially when I first met one
of you when my English teacher introduced you to her class. Sure
hope
you guys are still together.
see you guys tonight in Bloomfield and again in Fairfield,NJ in
Aug. 2001
